Is OUTLETCITY METZINGEN accessible for people with disabilities?

We aim to make the site and the outlet stores as accessible as possible. For example, multi-storey buildings have lifts (elevators) and steps in outdoor areas are mostly fitted with ramps.

Parking spaces for people with disabilities can be found in the following areas of OUTLETCITY METZINGEN:

Is it possible to bring dogs into OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

Dogs are of course permitted in all outdoor areas of OUTLETCITY METZINGEN. There is no uniform rule about bringing dogs into the stores. However, on our website there is an up-to-date list showing which brands permit dogs in their stores. The current list is available here.

Will I find the same brands at OUTLETCITY in Metzingen as in the online shop OUTLETCITY.COM?

The portfolio of brands available at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN varies from those in the online shop OUTLETCITY.COM.

Some brands are not represented in the online shop and are only available at the outlet store. There are also brands which are available online but do not have an outlet store with us.

OUTLETCITY CLUB

Who can become a member?

All private individuals aged 18 and over can become members of the CLUB. Companies and resellers are not permitted to register. There are no restrictions based on country as far as registration is concerned (it doesn’t matter where customers live). Store staff and employees of Holy AG/OUTLETCITY GmbH are very welcome to join.

What are the terms and conditions of registration?

When you register, you will be required to enter your email address, title and country. You don’t have to enter your date of birth, but if you do, you will receive a voucher on your birthday.

Can I join the OUTLETCITY CLUB even if I don’t live in Germany?

Yes. You can still become a member of the OUTLETCITY CLUB if you live abroad.

How much does it cost to join?

It is free to join the OUTLETCITY CLUB.

How do I register to join the OUTLETCITY CLUB?

If you want to register, you will need to download the OUTLETCITY app (available from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store). When you register on the app, you will automatically become a member. You can also register online at https://www.outletcity.com/club/. If you already have an account for the OUTLETCITY online shop, you will be registered as a member automatically when you make your next purchase from the online shop or when you log in for the first time via the app.

How do I get a password for the online shop?

When you log in to the online shop, click on the “Set password now” link.

Can I register for the online shop without becoming a member of the CLUB?

No. But when you register to join the free CLUB, you will be able to browse and make purchases in the online shop.

How do I get vouchers?

Vouchers are automatically added to your OUTLETCITY CLUB account online and on the app. You can find out about them on our website, in the online shop and in our newsletter.

Can online shop vouchers be used in conjunction with gift vouchers?

No, that isn’t possible.

What does collecting points involve?

If you are a member of the OUTLETCITY CLUB, you will collect points every time you make a purchase at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN. You will earn one point for every euro you spend.

Where do I collect points?

You can collect points either in person in Metzingen or online.

In person in Metzingen:

You can take photos of receipts from all OUTLETCITY stores/brands and restaurants and upload them via the OUTLETCITY app within 14 days.
Some OUTLETCITY stores/brands and restaurants already have a CLUB Terminal. This means that you can simply scan your CLUB Code there and collect points directly when you pay.

You will collect points automatically every time you buy something from the OUTLETCITY online shop.

How do I collect points?

There are several ways to collect points:

  1. By photographing receipts with the OUTLETCITY App.
  2. By scanning your CLUB code in all stores that have a CLUB terminal.
  3. Shopping in the online shop of OUTLETCITY Metzingen.

How does collecting points by photographing receipts with the OUTLETCITY app work?

After a successful registration for the OUTLETCITY CLUB, you can use the OUTLETCITY app on your smartphone at all OUTLETCITY brands/stores and restaurants to photograph and upload receipts of your purchases within 14 days. First open the app and then go to your personal CLUB account. When you select “Upload receipt”, a camera window will open, and you can photograph your receipt. The following points should be considered:

  • Make sure that the lighting is good.
  • Fold long receipts so that all store information, the amount and the date/time are clearly visible.
  • Hold your device parallel over the receipt.
  • Adjust the receipt to fit into the display frame.

After having photographed your receipt, you can double-check whether all the required information is clearly visible and legible. If this is the case, touch the golden arrow. Your receipt will be analyzed. If all data has been correctly processed, tap on “Confirm”. Your points will then be credited to your account. Should the data on your receipt not be recognized correctly, you can have it checked manually. To do this, select “Check receipt”. In this case, the crediting of your points may take a few business days.

How does collecting points work when paying at the checkout of a store/restaurant?

Some OUTLETCITY brands/stores and restaurants already have a CLUB terminal. You can collect points directly by scanning your CLUB code at the checkout.

How does collecting points in the online shop work?

You collect points automatically every time you buy something from the OUTLETCITY online shop.

How many points will I earn when I make a purchase?

You will earn one point for every euro you spend at our stores/on our brands at OUTLETCITY, at OUTLETCITY restaurants in Metzingen and in our OUTLETCITY online shop.

Exception:

Purchases made in the Swiss OUTLETCITY online shop are counted as being equivalent to purchases in euros, meaning that you will earn one point for every Swiss Franc you spend.

What is a CLUB Terminal?

A CLUB Terminal is a tablet or smartphone in a store or restaurant that can be used to redeem vouchers.

How far away do I need to hold my smartphone when using the CLUB Terminal to scan my CLUB Code?

Hold your smartphone 30 cm away from the CLUB Terminal.

Can I collect points when purchasing OUTLETCITY gift cards?

No, unfortunately you can not collect points when purchasing OUTLETCITY gift cards. Of course, you can collect points when redeeming gifts cards in a store.

Where can I find a list of all of the OUTLETCITY stores/brands and restaurants in Metzingen?

I forgot to collect my CLUB Code points in a store with a CLUB Terminal. What should I do?

You can still take a photograph of your receipt and collect your points up to 14 days after making your purchase. All you have to do is upload the photo of your receipt.

When will my points expire?

All points are valid for at least 36 months. After 36 months, the points will expire if they are not used by the next expiry date. This year’s expiry date is 30 September.

How long does it take for the points to appear on my account?

That depends on the type of points you have collected and where you collected them.

Points collected in person in Metzingen:
Points can be collected directly using a CLUB Terminal when you make a purchase from a store/brand in person. If you use the OUTLETCITY app to upload a photo of your receipt, your points will be added to your account immediately unless our Customer Service Team needs to verify your receipt. In that case, your points will be added within a few working days.

Points collected in the OUTLETCITY online shop:
Points collected online will be added to your account 28 days after you placed your order in line with the cancellation period (returns period). The points will be shown as pending in your account balance before then.

I haven’t received my points. What can I do?

You can still take a photograph of your receipt and collect your points up to 14 days after making your purchase. All you have to do is upload the photo of your receipt.
You can also get in touch with our Customer Service Team in Metzingen – in person at the OUTLETCITY Service Center, over the telephone or by post (PVS).

You will need to provide the following for your points to be processed:

  • Your CLUB Code
  • The email address you used to register
  • The receipts for the purchases you want to collect points on

How much is each point worth?

Points aren’t assigned a specific value. Head to “My Account” to check out the rewards you can get in exchange for your points.

Head to “My Account” and click on “My Points” to check how many points you’ve collected.

Which price is used as the basis for calculating points?

Points are always allocated on the basis of the price after any discounts have been taken off.

Can I collect points without having to register?

Yes, you can if you use the app. However, if you are shopping at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN, this will only be possible in stores with a CLUB Terminal. You will only be able to take photos of your receipts and upload them via the app once you have registered.

Why haven’t I received any points even though the photo of my receipt has been uploaded?

It can take up to three days for your points to be added to your account. If your points still haven’t been added after three days, there may have been a problem with your receipt. Please get in touch with our Customer Service Team if you have any questions relating to this.

Where can I check my points total?

You can view your points total on the first overview page under “My Points” in the “My Account” section on the OUTLETCITY website or on the OUTLETCITY app. If you can’t see anything there, you either haven’t registered as a CLUB member or you haven't logged in as a member.

Why does my points total not add up?

There are a number of reasons why this may be the case:

  • Points are only displayed once they have been processed and added to your account.
  • Points collected on purchases from the online shop are added after 28 days.
  • Points collected by scanning in receipts need to be checked once you have uploaded the receipts. This can take up to three working days.
  • Try refreshing the page.

What status will I have after I have registered?

Every member starts off with Silver Status and has access to all of the associated perks right away.

How can I upgrade my status?

You will achieve Gold Status when you have spent €2500 in person at OUTLETCITY Metzingen or in the OUTLETCITY online shop over the past 12 months. All purchases within the last 12 months from 26.08.2019 are considered (start of the OUTLETCITY CLUB).

You can collect points on any purchases made in Metzingen by taking a photo of your receipt or by using a CLUB terminal in our partners’ outlets.
Please note that in the case of photographed receipts, the purchase value will not apply to the status until the date on which the points are credited.

Please note the following when shopping in the OUTLETCITY online shop:

  • If you make purchases in the OUTLETCITY online shop for Swiss customers, one euro is contributed to the €2500 total for every Swiss Franc spent.
  • The value of purchases made online will not be counted towards your status until the waiting period of 28 days has passed.

How long will I have Gold Status for?

Gold Status applies for 12 months. After 12 months have passed, we will check your account again to see if you have spent enough over the past 12 months to retain your Gold Status. If you have spent enough, your Gold Status will be extended for another 12 months.

How can I redeem my points?

If you wish to exchange your points for a reward, you will need to make sure that you have collected the required amount. You can redeem your points for certain rewards in person in Metzingen or online. If you wish to exchange your points for rewards in person in Metzingen, you can collect them from the OUTLETCITY Service Center located at Reutlinger Str. 67. There is also the option to have some of the rewards posted out to you.

How do I cancel my membership?

If you decide that you no longer want to be a member of the OUTLETCITY CLUB, you will need to send us written notice of your decision by email to: service@outletcity.com. We will then be able to cancel your membership for good.

Can I merge multiple CLUB accounts?

Sorry but that isn’t possible.

How can I change my address and enter my date of birth?

You can change your address and enter your date of birth by heading to the “My Account” section on our website.

How can I log out of the app?

If you use android, you can log out by accessing the settings of your smartphone. Select the OUTLETCITY app in the app menu. Then select „storage“ and „delete data“.

If you use iOS, you can log out of the app by opening the following link with the device you have installed the app on: https://www.outletcity.com/appRegister/logout-user-immediately.

How does the VIP parking work?

Drive up to the entrance barrier at the VIP garage. Then select the VIP parking coupon on your smartphone and hold the coupon code up to the code scanner at the entrance barrier. When the code has been read, you will receive a paper parking ticket and the barrier will open. Please save the paper parking ticket for later. To exit the VIP garage, drive up to the exit barrier and insert the paper parking ticket as usual.

How can I get the parking perk?

Please proceed as follows to get the parking perk:

  1. Download the OUTLETCITY app and register for the OUTLETCITY Club.
  2. Select the parking perk coupon in your account.
  3. Insert your parking ticket into the pay machine as usual.
  4. Scan the selected coupon code (QR code) before paying.
  5. Your parking fee will be reduced automatically. Now you can complete the payment transaction as usual and remove your parking ticket.

How many outlet stores are there at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN and how much can I save?

OUTLETCITY METZINGEN offers more than 70 outlet stores with year-round discounts of at least 30% on the manufacturer’s previous RRP, if there is one. During the sales, some brands offer discounts of 70% or more on the manufacturer’s previous RRP, if there is one.

What methods of payment are accepted in stores at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

In all of our outlet stores you can pay by cash, debit card or credit card. Visa and MasterCard are accepted in all outlet stores.

How does tax-free shopping work at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

OUTLETCITY METZINGEN offers tax-free shopping in all its stores. Customers from non-EU countries can claim a VAT refund as follows. When you pay at the till in store, you will be given a tax-free form, corresponding to the till receipt. The original form is attached to the receipt. When you travel out of the European Union you must show these documents at Customs along with the purchased goods. You will receive a stamp confirming the export of the goods. The customer then sends the stamped forms to the service provider who provides the documents and the VAT is refunded minus a service charge. GETTING HERE

How do I get to OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

Metzingen is situated at the heart of Europe in the Stuttgart metropolitan area. Major cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Strasbourg and Zurich can be reached in just two hours. Stuttgart, the vibrant federal state capital, home to global corporations such as Bosch, Daimler, IBM and Porsche, is just a few kilometres away. The new trade fair and exhibition venue Messe Stuttgart and Stuttgart International Airport are also just minutes away. Many airlines offer low-cost flights to Stuttgart. You can hire a car from Sixt or take the Shopping Shuttle to go straight to Metzingen from the airport. Metzingen station is also on the national rail network and the town is conveniently located on the road network, linked to the B27, B28, B312 and B313 roads and the A8 and A81 motorways. When you arrive there is no need to walk far, thanks to more than 3500 parking spaces.

OUTLETCITY METZINGEN has more than 3500 well signposted parking spaces:

Parking in P4, P4.1 and P7 is free of charge. In P0, P1, P2 and P3 it costs €1.00 per hour. The maximum daily parking charge at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN is €9.00. There is free coach parking on Maienwaldstraße.

Covered parking is available in car parks P0, P1 and P3. The height limits for parking areas are as follows:

Can you charge electric vehicles at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

At OUTLETCITY METZINGEN, we are offering our visitors a number of charging points for electric vehicles: 2 charging points are located next to the Desigual store at Wilhelmstraße 54. On the 3rd level of our parking garage P1 you will find 6 charging points of type 2 22kW and 6 “Schuko” charging points. We plan to install further charging points in our parking garages and on the new G+V-Areal.

SERVICES

Does OUTLETCITY METZINGEN offer a childcare service?

Yes, KIDS CAMP – the childcare service at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN – is located on the third floor of the Joop! building and is open on Fridays from 12.00 noon to 8.00 pm and on Saturdays from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.

To register a child you must provide valid proof of identity and a mobile phone number. Children can be left in the care of KIDS CAMP for a maximum of 4 hours. The charge for childcare is €2.50 per hour or part thereof. For families with more than one child, the price for the second, third child etc. is reduced to €1.50 per hour. Please note that, for insurance reasons, childcare is only available for children aged between 3 and 12.

Are there lockers in which I can leave my luggage or my purchases?

For the convenient storage of your luggage or your purchases, lockers are available at Reutlinger Straße 63, in car park P1 (Hugo Boss) and in car park P0. Information about all available lockers can be found on the map.

The charge for using a locker is €2 per day. Lockers have the following dimensions:
Small: 35.1 cm x 45.7 cm x 85.5 cm
Medium: 35.1 cm x 62.0 cm x 85.5 cm
Large: 35.1 cm x 94.5 cm x 85.5 cm

Please note that, for security reasons, an additional €2 charge applies each time a locker is opened and locked again. The conditions of use can be found on the inside of the locker door.

Can I redeem the gift card in all stores at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN?

Yes, our gift card is valid in all outlet stores at OUTLETCITY METZINGEN. You can order one online or purchase one from the Metzingen Tourist Information Office. You can add an amount between €5 and €100 to the card plus a service charge of €1. For online orders there is a charge of €2.50 per card (including postage and packaging).

How can I check the credit on my gift card?

When you use your gift card to pay, it is important to know how much available credit you have. You can check how much credit you have on your gift card in the following ways:

TEXT MESSAGE SERVICE
Text your card number to +49 (0) 177 178 22 05 to register for the text message service. This service is free in Germany. Once you have registered, you will receive a text message every time you make a purchase telling you exactly how much credit you have left on your gift card. After registering you can also text “?” at any time to check your remaining credit. You can cancel the text message service by texting the word “Ende”.

For up to a year after a gift card expires, you can transfer the credit to a new card at the Tourist Information Office in Metzingen.
