Kunsthalle Tübingen
The internationally renowned venue for temporary exhibitions
As well as single artist exhibitions featuring art from the 20th and 21st centuries, the Kunsthalle also organises themed exhibitions. As well as art-related topics, these themed exhibitions look at social issues illustrating visual cross-references and intellectual relations spanning different eras and bringing the observer new insights and perspectives on human development. The programme is complemented by presentations of private collections of modern and contemporary art. The Gallery’s director, Dr. Nicole Fritz, places particular emphasis on making the potential of art understandable and productive for as many people as possible, using interactive, participatory and cross-generation communications as part of a “museum for everyone” approach. With its attractive setting and a café, the Kunsthalle Tübingen offers visitors a sensual space in which to experience and contemplate art, complementing the educational landscape of this university city with a place fostering heightened feelings and awareness.
