Lichtenstein Castle

Fairytale castle of the Swabian Alb

Lichtenstein Castle is a historicist castle which is located on the Albtrauf of the Swabian Alb at an altitude of 817 m above sea level. Inspired by the novel "Lichtenstein" by Wilhelm Hauff, the castle was built in 1842 in neo-gothic style. It is also known as the "fairytale castle of Württemberg", as it allows the romance to live on in its architectural style and furnishings.
