Innovative paisley patterns at the Etro outlet
The Etro outlet at the Outletcity Metzingen offers distinctive, elaborately manufactured and flamboyant fashion for men and women. The success story of Milanese label Etro, which to this day is well known for its paisley patterns, began back in 1968. Its visionary founder, Gimmo Etro, started out in a fabric weaving mill producing household textiles. Even now, approximately 60% of the fine fabrics Etro clothing is made from are manufactured in house from high-quality, natural fibres. They are then processed with original designs, innovative cuts and a contemporary choice of colours. In the 80s, Etro produced a collection with textile furnishing elements covering the entire range from ceilings to photo frames. The collection was designed to turn a house into a cosy home to give people a sense of wellbeing. Since 1984, the product range has included leather goods such as handbags, suitcases and travel bags all featuring the signature paisley pattern. The final resin finish makes these accessories a symbol of pure elegance.
The international success of Etro fashion
1988 saw the opening of the flagship store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan. A fragrance range followed, adding modern elements to traditional concepts. The collection has now been expanded to include 27 exclusive scents. Since 1996, the Etro collections for men and women have been presented at the Milan Fashion Week, the imaginative and exquisite designs and ever-present paisley patterns proving extremely popular there. Gradually, Etro stores offering the brand’s haute couture were opened in cities such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, London and Vienna.
Classic quality with contemporary elements from a family-owned company
Etro is still family-owned today and is managed by three brothers: Ippolito, who is head of finances and prefers to stay behind the scenes; Kean, who looks after the menswear collection and Jacopo, who concentrates on the Etro accessories and leather goods. Their sister Veronica trained at the Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London and now heads up the Etro womenswear collection. Etro’s high-value fashion is characterised by paisley patterns, bright colours and lavish cuts, all innovatively combined. The quality of the materials, first-class workmanship and special combination of patterns make Etro clothing both unique and special. The Etro outlet at the Outletcity Metzingen stocks both the Etro sports jacket and Etro dresses that make any evening outfit eye-catching and Etro fashion and accessories for striking and sophisticated daytime styling. The product range also includes footwear, bags and small leather goods, towels and Etro’s home collection.
