Urach Waterfall
One of most beautiful natural spectacles in the Swabian Alb mountains
Bad Urach waterfall is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful natural spectacles throughout southern Germany. The water cascades majestically down 37 metres before playfully splashing over the tufa rocks and collecting in the Brühlbach stream. Even the path leading to the waterfall along the picturesque Brühlbach stream is a beautiful and relaxing experience. It is quite something to then stand at the end of the valley at the foot of the waterfall. The natural stone steps to the side of the waterfall lead closer and closer to it, giving constantly changing perspectives of the rushing water. Once at the top, there are stunning views of the water plummeting down and Hohenurach Castle ruins opposite.
